Over the past 6 months I have began to improve the way I market products and use social media as a whole. I have found that engaging with others is a must as a lot of users only share (RT) tweets by their favourite followers or friends. Through doing so I have began talking to a lot of lovely people, which is a bonus! What has helped me improve drastically over the past 60 days or so is the use of certain hashtags when tweeting. I have a few favourite which are aimed towards the crafty businesses of twitter and I suggest you use them too! Why not check out #HandmadeHour on Wednesdays (7.30pm-9.30pm) or #BuyBritishBrands (8.30pm-9.30pm) How about #CraftHour on Sundays (7.00pm-8.00pm) Or even #creativebizhour on Mondays (8.00pm-9.00pm) I have found using these hashtags to be an amazing tool when trying to spread the word about my handmade items, and the majority of my sales in the last 2 months have come from #HandmadeHour alone! Why not check them out and let me know how you get on? Just send a tweet showcasing a product or two and include the hashtag in your tweet at the given times! Go on, I dare you! Thanks for reading CornDollyCrafts The homepage of my website gives a brief outline of the products you can expect to see for sale in my online store, I often make one off items so if there is something you like and it is not available in the store, just let me know, i'll happily re-create previous items provided i have the tools needed to do so. Store:My store is now easier than ever to navigate your way around! I have shuffled the items about making them much easier to find, there are now 6 categories: Women's, Men's, Baby, Crafts & Homeware, Wedding (coming soon), and Christmas (early I know!) Testimonials:The testimonials page has recently been updated but if you have ever bought from the site and would like to help, you could write a sentence or two and I will happily include it on the page! FAQ's:Any questions relating to shipping outside of the UK, missing items and tailoring items to your needs have been answered on the FAQ's & Contact page, head over there if you're unsure about something, not found the answer you're looking for? Just fill out the short contact form, its quick and easy and i'll get back to you within 24 hours (usually much quicker). This has been just a short update but I hope it helps you to understand a little more about how to navigate through the site and how to ask questions if needed (you could also tweet me @corndollycrafts or go to facebook.com/corndollycrafts
Thanks for reading! So over the past couple of weeks I have bought a lot of new stock, and most of it is to make things I've never made before... I have bought a small amount of pendants to have a go at stamping... And providing all goes well, I'll be moving onto dog tags too. I have also purchased a large amount of buttons, crystals and hemp cord, which I couldn't resist buying as they were so pretty!!! And I've made a few anklets and bracelets... But I'm still not 100% sure what I should do with the buttons, if you have any suggestions let me know! As always... Thanks for looking Corndolly x Last year I started thinking about what I could do to make my mum and step dad Rob's 5th wedding anniversary special. I contacted a local freelance artist, who also taught me whilst in sixth form a few years ago, I asked if she could use the image below and create a sketch which I could frame and give to them. She of course said yes and a short while later the drawing was finished. Once recieving a picture of the drawing i wanted to go and pick it up !!!! My younger sister Ally picked the frame, she chose a dark wood to emphasise as the traditional gift for the 5th anniversary is wood, after finding a lovely mount for the inside of the frame (the one that came with the frame was too small) it was wrapped and we all couldn't wait to give them their gift When the present was opened, little Noah slowly leant forwards and kissed the drawing of himself, it was so cute. Since the sketch Rosie is changing Facebook and website etc into her married name so when this has been done I will edit this post and include all of her links Thanks for reading, and that's so much to Rosie for making it all possible xxx Hi all, just a quick update letting you all know what I have been up to following on from the craft fair on Friday.
